  • Evernote for Mac Update: Improved Search, Better Shortcuts and More Today Evernote released an update to it's Mac app that allows you to sync shortcuts so that you'll be able to make use of them no matter where you access Evernote from. Also included is a search improvement that lets you choose which notebooks to search, along with an design touchup for the Evernote Clearly read-it-later extension. [Evernote]
  • AT&T's TV, Phone and Internet Service Is Down in Some States A faulty software upgrade earlier this week caused AT&T's U-verse phone/internet/TV service to go down in some states for as many as three days. An AT&T spokesperson stated that less than 1% of their 7.4 million subscribers were affected. No further details were available, and AT&T has not stated how they plan to recompense customers for the outage. [NYTimes]
  • Apple Launching iPhone 5 LTE with 36 New Carriers Next Week Apple announced yesterday that they will be launching the iPhone 5 on 36 new carriers. The expansion includes countries that don't currently have LTE networks, and will bring the number of carriers that have the phone to 60. Among the new countries to get the phone are Italy, the Phillippines, and "several Middle Eastern countries." [MacLife]
  • Introducing Expanded Personal Analytics for Facebook Computational search engine Wolfram|Alpha has introduced several new features for it's extensive Facebook report. The new analytics will show you the ways your friends relate to each other fit into to your larger social network, along with new, revamped visualizations to help you breakdown your Facebook data further. The service will also now cross-reference your Facebook data with all manner of real-world information?bringing up interesting things in relation to their geographic location, for example. Of course, you'll have to be comfortable with giving Wolfram|Alpha permission to use all this data, but it's a good way to see how much Facebook knows about you. [Wolfram|Alpha]
  • Skype Updated With Portrait Calling On Tablets, Portuguese, Norwegian, And UK English Languages Skype's Android app received a small update that addresses a strange quirk that made the app landscape-orientation only. Now you can make calls and switch the interface into portrait orientation?but only during calls. [Android Police]
