Having worked ten years in the animation and entertainment industry, Ben Grimshaw started his career as a trainee at DisneyToon Studios Australia. During his six years with the studio he worked in three different artistic departments, and worked on 9 films, including Jungle Book 2, The Lion King 1.5, and Lilo and Stitch 2. During this time Ben also was the storyboard artist for the award winning short film Transient.
After the Sydney based studio closed, Ben moved to Melbourne where he begun working as a freelance animator, storyboard artist, and character designer. Shortly after, he accepted the role of Special Effects Lead Animator/Supervisor at Ettamogah Entertainment, where he worked on the television series, Wakkaville.
Since leaving the studio in 2009, Ben has continued as a freelancer and is also currently teaching cartooning at CAE.
