Senior Production Technologist -Aberdeen

EUROPEAN UNION

The role comprises undertaking and leading production technology studies and providing peer support to the wider Senergy production technology community.
A Senior Production Technologist will have considerable experience and may be recognised as a peer expert internally. Capable of independent work and management of production technology projects. Good problem-solving skills, an ability to solve unusual problems and able to tap into expert resources across the organisation. Competence in several core areas of production technology. Must have an appreciation and understanding of the full cycle of oil field development and operation with a working knowledge of integrated subsurface projects, uncertainty, risk and oilfield economics.

Primary Function

? Carry out production technology studies independently
o perform designs, programmes and studies within anchor skill(s) with minimal technical supervision
? Technically lead or manage production technology projects
? Provide production technology peer review/assist support to Senergy projects globally
Additional
? Work within Senergy SIMS and QA/QC procedures
? Support the development of less experienced Production Technologists
REQUIREMENTS
In addition to demonstrating capability to deliver the activities within the role description above.
Qualifications
Satisfying at least one from either of the following categories:
? A degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline
? Relevant experience from an oilfield service company or equivalent, providing field or oilfield tools experience e.g. completions, artificial lift, well testing
Skills
? Good spoken and written English
? Competent in at least 3 of the following core areas:
o completion design
o well integrity
o well performance modelling and artificial lift
o operations design, planning and support (e.g. DST)
o production optimisation
o stimulation
o QHSE policies and procedures
? Able to scope, manage and/or carry out designs, programmes and studies within anchor skill(s)
? Able to operate independently in a Senergy or client office as the leading Production Technologist in a team
? Understands the legislative, QHSE requirements and Senergy Policies and Procedures and applies to all aspects of work
? Understands petroleum economics and able to calculate standard valuation factors
? Able to assess technical risk and uncertainty and conversant with the use of risk and action registers
? Able to develop new technical solutions and workflows

DEVELOPMENT

It is anticipated that a Senior Production Technologist will attend 1 to 2 training courses per year or a combination of training courses and industry events.

Senior Production Technologists will work with their manager to create a development plan, within the framework of Senergy?s PDAS process.

A Senior Production Technologist may develop specialist technical skills and/or a role in
contributing to business management, operations and business development.
