BLACKBURN, England (AP) -Sweden midfielder Marcus Olsson has joined his twin brother Martin at Blackburn after signing for the English Premier League club on a free transfer on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Olsson joined Blackburn from Swedish side Halmstad on a 2 1/2-year deal - seven years after failing to secure a move to the northwest club after a trial.
He won his first two caps for Sweden this month, in friendlies against Bahrain and Qatar.
Olsson is awaiting international clearance from the Swedish FA and FIFA before completing the move to Blackburn, which is in the Premier League's relegation zone.
