How to make healthy holiday cookies that are delicous and guilt free!












Enjoy yummy desserts this chritmas/holiday season that wont pack on pounds.









Instructions

Thumbprint cookies!

What you will need:

-Raw almonds

-Oats

-Whole wheat flour

-pure maple syrup, grade A or B

-Sunflower oil or canola oil

-Cinamon

-Natural Jam (my favorite is rasberry)

-Blender or food processor

-mixing bowl

-spoon for stiring

Directions:

??? Preheat oven at 350 degrees.? Spray a cookie sheet with oil.? Put 1 cup of almonds into blender and grind to a meal.? Pour the almonds into bowl.? Place 1 cup of oats?into blender grind to a meal.? Place into bowl.? Add 1 1//4 cups of whole wheat?flour(you could use oat flour) and 1/2 teaspoon cinamon into bowl and stir.? Add 1/2 cup maple syrup and 1/2 cup sunflower oil into bowl and stir.?

???? Wet hands and roll into walnut size balls.? Indent in the middle of the balls with your thumb.? Fill the whole with jam.? Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

Tips:

If you want this recipe gluten free buy gluten free oats, substitute flour with gluten free oat flour. Get the kids involved!

Gingerbread Cake!

What you will need:

-oil

-water, unsweetened soy milk or water

-malt syrup or black molasses

-whole wheat flour

-sea salt

-baking soda

-cinnamon

-nutmeg

-dry ginger

-bowl

-sifter

Directions:

???? Preheat oven to 350 degrees.? Oil a 9 inch square baking pan.? Whip 1/2 cup oil,? 1 1/2 cup liquid(water, soymilk or almond milk) and?2/3 cup barely malt syrup or molasses.? Sift 2 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp. sea salt, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, 2 tsp. ginger.? Mix dry ingredients with?wet ingredients.? Poor into baking pan.? Bake for?35 to 40 minutes.?

Frost with light wip cream, frozen yogurt or applesauce!

Chocolate truffles!

What you will need:

-1 cup unsweetened soymilk or almond milk

-18 ounces dairy-free, grain-sweetened chocolate chips

-2 tablespoons agar flakes

-1 tablespoon cocoa powder

-cocoa powder

-roasted nuts or raw (hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, etc.) finely chopped.

-roated or raw coconut flakes.

Directions:

??? In a saucepan over medium heat bring soymilk and agar flakes to a simmer.? Add chocolate chips and stir until melted.? Remove from heat and transfer to a baking pan.? Allow to cool for 1 hour in the refrigerator.? Using a spoon scoop up about 1-ounce of the chocolate mixture.? Roll into small balls.? Roll the balls into cocoa powder, nuts or coconut flakes.? Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.













Tips & Warnings


-It your not planning to eat the desserts right away you can freeze them.? When ready to eat take them out and let them defrost and you?ll have fresh yummy desserts!
